We have an exciting programme of events, speakers and demostrations planned for the forthcoming year. Prospective members are welcome to join us, please get in touch first.
Hi and welcome To Buckshaw Village WI Web Page
Buckshaw Village W.I was formed in late 2011 and is a group of busy, young and dynamic women. The Group was formed when a new village was created just outside Chorley on the site of a former Royal Ordnance Factory.
We hold a monthly meeting where we are joined by inspirational speakers and other guests for talks and demonstrations. There are many workshops and sub-groups planned for the group, where members can learn new skills and crafts enjoying a social gathering at the same time. There will always be something new to try and members can be as involved as they so wish.
The group is open to any women aged 18-100+ and no experience is necessary. You don’t have to be a baking queen or a whizz with a knitting needles – you just need to be willing to have a go. Our members are from both the village and the surrounding areas and have a wide variety of backgrounds.
So feel free to come with a friend or just bring yourself and give us a try, we are very friendly and welcome visitors and potential members.
You can come as a visitor for up to three visits without joining. We ask for a voluntary donation to cover refreshments.

Good evening
I’ve just joined a community run project called the red box project!
It’s main purpose is to help young girls get the sanitary products they need weather they cant get hold of them or afford them
I’ve literally been with the group for 2 weeks
I’ve got my first few boxes dotted around euxton and leyland
I have balshaw high schools on board to receive the donations
I do all the work I bring you the red box the posters for you
Then I can call weekly to collect any donations
if this is something that you could be apart of that would be amazing !
